The Phoenix Project

The founder, Jim Reeves, approached the AMR Board about building a tiny home community in Pensacola for youth aging out of the foster care system. Baptist Health Care Foundation donated an acre of land at the corner of Pace Boulevard and Blount Street, and AMR was able to get the property properly zoned by the City of Pensacola. AMR collaborated with Judge Ross Goodman to formulate and secure funding for the project, which consists of eight buildings: seven single-occupant tiny homes and one community center. The community center was sponsored by a generous grant from IMPACT 100. AMR is proud to be a link in the chain that helps these youth become successful adults through Families-First Network (FFN), who provide valuable support for the youth.
